Quick flight, a bit better than average regarding cleanliness and on-time performance.

Norwegian Air – Helsinki to Stockholm – Coach Clas
For a short trip, it’s a perfectly reasonable low frills airline. The plane was full of Scandinavian teenagers. Friendly bunch.

Emirates – New York City to Milan – Business Class
, June 2017 and June 2019 Luxurious, wonderful service from start to finish. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the typical airplane bathrooms.

KLM Airlines – Amsterdam to New York City – Business Class
, June 2017 and July 2019 If it weren’t for the lie flat seats, there’s very little to differentiate this from coach. As close to no frills as business class gets.

Finnair – Zurich to Helsinki – Coach Class
Basic airline. Can’t differentiate this from a no-frills airline. Disembarked onto the tarmac. Unusual, almost third-world experience.

United Airlines – Newark to Raleigh-Durham (RT) – Coach Class
Quick flight, was perfectly reasonable. Nothing to complain about, nothing to write home about either.
