Culture Media, LLC, which operates Stay and Eat, respects the intellectual property of others, and we expect our members to do the same. Reviews, photographs, and other material on this site are submitted by members and editors. If you believe material on Stay and Eat infringes your copyright, this page explains how to notify us and how we respond, consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
Reporting alleged infringement
Send a written notice to our Designated Agent at contact@stayandeat.com that includes all of the following:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on Stay and Eat where the material appears, so we can locate it.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may not be actionable. Under Section 512(f), you may be liable for damages if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing.
What we do
When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material promptly and, where possible, notify the member who submitted it.
Counter-notification
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to contact@stayandeat.com that includes: your name, address, phone, and email; identification of the removed material and the URL where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., the District of Connecticut); and your signature. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of members who are repeat infringers.
