For a short trip, it’s a perfectly reasonable low frills airline. The plane was full of Scandinavian teenagers. Friendly bunch.

Baked ziti and salad is a bargain and can’t go wrong. The ice tea isn’t freshly brewed, would be great if they changed that.

Great Thai food, love the curry dishes, sometimes the vegetables are overcooked but usually they’re perfect.

KLM Airlines – Amsterdam to New York City – Business Class
, June 2017 and July 2019 If it weren’t for the lie flat seats, there’s very little to differentiate this from coach. As close to no frills as business class gets.

Holland America Cruise – Norway Fjords
Beautiful route to the Norwegian Fjords, extremely well-run cruise. Small ship, poor entertainment. Food was just ok.

Clean rooms, inexpensive hotel, decent breakfast buffet, but otherwise food is not great. Older building, 5-minute tram ride from the bustling downtown area.
